Why does my battery drain quickly or not charge during rides?

If your battery is draining faster than usual, check the following: 

• Exposure to Heat: The battery may drain faster if the motorbike is exposed to the sun for extended periods, especially in summer. Lithium batteries have temperature limitations: 
  • Storage: -20 ºC to +45 ºC 
  • Operating: -25 ºC to +55 ºC 
  • Charging: 0 ºC to +45 ºC. 
• Short Trips: If your trips are shorter than 15-20 minutes or you use the motorbike for less than 3 hours a week, the Mapit may not receive enough charge. For optimal charging, the motorbike should be in use for sustained periods, regardless of the distance traveled.
