No. It is recommended to install the Mapit device on the diagnostics cable or the post-ignition circuit of the motorbike, following the installation instructions. Therefore, it charges when the motorbike is on and on a route, as it is connected to the electrical system, not the battery. So, when installed correctly, the device cannot drain or damage the motorbike’s battery.
