No. It is recommended to install the Mapit device on the diagnostic cable or in the post-key circuit of the motorbike, following the mounting instructions. Therefore, it charges when the motorbike is on and in use, as it is connected to the electrical system, not the battery. Thus, when installed correctly, the device cannot drain or damage the motorbike's battery.
